Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is a top-down method for identifying all possible root causes of failure. It provides a basis for calculating the probability of system failure. Disciplined use of FTA leads to early identification of likely causes of faults, enabling proactive risk management through design or establishing appropriate operational measures.

Reliability Engineering involves analysing the expected or actual reliability of a product, process or service, and identifying actions to reduce failures or mitigate their effects. The overall goal of Reliability Engineering is to make product/process more reliable to reduce repairs and lower cost. This course will provide participants with the tools and techniques to build product reliability from concept thru production.

Design of Experiments (DOE) is a structured approach to studying the relationships between design/environmental factors and outcomes. You will learn to design experiments that generate the desired insights while requiring only the necessary number of (possibly costly) experimental trials.
